La Llamera is where we live and work, where each morning begins with a stunning sunrise over the Picos de Europa.

Above us rise the limestone cliffs of La Forcada, and below flows the gentle murmur of the Río Chico. Our finca stretches across 8 hectares of woodlands, meadows, orchards, and gardens, and it serves as the basecamp for most of our activities.

Moving to La Llamera was the beginning of a dream nearly a decade in the making. Reem, trained as a landscape architect, began studying and practicing herbal medicine and plant lore in 2022, while Joost, a historian, has spent recent years working as an ecologist. Here, everything came together: La Llamera is for us the ultimate space to live and work as a family, deeply connected to the land.
